Junior Researcher - High-resolution imaging, mechanical and chemical mapping of bio-samples
The CEITEC Nano Research Infrastructure at the Brno University of Technology is the largest cleanroom nano-centre located in the Czech Republic. It provides complex equipment, expertise, and methods for R&D in nanotechnology and advanced materials. The facility includes nanofabrication, nano-characterization, structural analysis, and X-ray computed tomography. We provide scientists with personal access to the state-of-the-art scientific equipment and analytical services.
We're opening a junior research position in our team! We are a shared laboratory that works with other teams on projects involving high-resolution imaging, biomechanical studies, chemical mapping, and electrophysiology.
Our lab is equipped with state-of-the-art AFM, optical, and Raman microscopes; MEA field instruments; and other instruments.
We are seeking a creative, independent, and driven individual with documented research experience related to this position.
JUNIOR RESEARCHER - HIGH-RESOLUTION IMAGING, MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL MAPPING OF BIO-SAMPLES
Your profile:
Must-have:
- A PhD degree or equivalent in biophysics, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field
- Expertise in AFM, optical, and Raman microscopy of bio-samples is a strong plus, as well as programming skills
- A publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Interpersonal skills required to support CF lab users
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
