Get flippin' flexible biomolecule sample prep with powered-up Big Tuna

The Problem
Buffer exchange is a critical step to developing optimal biologics, vectors, and payloads. Formulation development is a challenge to perform at scale, but critical for efficient drug development. Finding out early how leads perform in different buffer conditions saves valuable time. Performing buffer exchange and concentration for formulation development with conventional exchange methods is especially challenging when you have lots of conditions or samples to screen. Throw in unexpected variations like inconsistent starting sample volumes or concentrations, and you’ll be looking for a better solution.
The Solution
Big Tuna is the automated, high-throughput buffer exchange and concentration instrument designed for these situations. Using pressure based ultra-filtration/diafiltration (UF/DF) technology coupled with non-contact individual sample volume measurement, Big Tuna will deliver precise buffer exchange and concentration targets without putting a dent in your sample recovery. Researchers can now rely on Big Tuna to automatically normalize below target initial sample volumes to give consistent results even when sample preps are not. With the ability to parallel process up to 24 samples in a volume range between 0.5 – 48 mL or up to 96 samples in a 100 – 400 µL volume range Big Tuna can help with screening, formulation, quality control, and analytical prep workflows. Programmable settings, including the optional orbital mixing, can be used with default settings, or customized to your unique biologic and gene therapy samples.
The Proof
Join us to see firsthand data results demonstrating the power and flexibility of Big Tuna for biologics, nucleic acids, LNPs, and AAVs. Final exchange and concentration values, along with analytic characterization, will be shown under different conditions.
