Solution to Micro-liter Sample Volume: New sample introduction system by coupling LC sampler to ICP-MS

A novel sample introduction system will be presented in this presentation. As the demand for micro-liter sampling increased, the solutions to such demand remain few. Autosampler developed specifically for micro-liter sampling can be a solution.
This presentation provides an alternative method to achieve micro-liter sampling by utilizing the liquid chromatography (LC) multi-sampler, while coupling with the ICP-MS. From the LC Multi-sampler, sample solution is directly connected to the nebulizer and spray chamber of the ICP-MS. With this sample introduction setup, we were able to analyze solutions in percent level concentration with less than 1 micro-liter aliquots.
