<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/events/750">26. ročník Školy hmotnostní spektrometrie</a>, pořádaný Spektroskopickou společností Jana Marka Marci, se opět navrátil do prostředí OREA Resortu Horal ve Špindlerově Mlýně. Akce proběhla ve dnech 8.–12. září 2025 a navázala na úspěšný jubilejní ročník z loňského roku. Letošní téma „Hmotnostní spektrometrie a její aplikační potenciál“ zdůraznilo široké možnosti využití hmotnostní spektrometrie v oblastech farmaceutické analýzy, potravinářství, klinické diagnostiky, životního prostředí, toxikologie i moderních datových přístupů. Program byl zahájen již v neděli odpoledne sérií krátkých kurzů zaměřených na moderní chromatografické metody ve spojení s hmotnostní spektrometrií a statistiku s využitím umělé inteligence. Pondělní dopoledne pokračovalo kurzy věnovanými řešením problémů při vývoji nových LC-MS metod, multiomickým přístupům a hmotnostně-spektrometrickému zobrazování.&nbsp;Oficiální zahájení proběhlo po obědě v pondělí 8. září 2025. Úvodní sekce nabídla dvě zvané přednášky a vystoupení vítěze sekce „Mládí vpřed 2024“. Zdeněk Kameník z Mikrobiologického ústavu AVČR představil využití MS při odhalování světa mikrobů, Jiří Danihlík z Univerzity Palackého aplikace LC-MS ve včelařském výzkumu a Mikuláš Vlk seznámil účastníky s využitím cyklické iontové mobility a chemického zesítění v plynné fázi ve strukturní analýze biomolekul. Následující slavnostní sekce byla věnována Ceně Vladimíra Hanuše za nejlepší publikovanou práci v oboru hmotnostní spektrometrie, kterou uděluje Spektroskopická společnost Jana Marka Marci. Letošní cenu s finanční dotací 30 000 Kč sponzorovala společnost <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/companies/43">Shimadzu</a>. Vítězem se stal autorský kolektiv vedený <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/articles?search=michal+hol%C4%8Dapek">Michalem Holčapkem</a> z Fakulty chemicko-technologické <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/companies/15">Pardubické univerzity</a>. Školy hmotnostní spektrometrie</a> byl rozdělen do deseti tematických sekcí, které pokrývaly široké spektrum aplikací hmotnostní spektrometrie. Každý den byl věnován konkrétnímu okruhu témat, přičemž ranní bloky poskytly základní vhled do principů MS, dopolední i odpolední sekce se zaměřily na praktické aplikace. První tematický blok se soustředil na environmentální analýzu, kde byly diskutovány aktuální problémy spojené s perzistentními organickými polutanty (POPs), polya perfluorovanými látkami (PFAS) či bromovanými retardéry hoření. Přednášky ukázaly, jak moderní MS techniky umožňují sledovat stopová množství těchto kontaminantů v životním prostředí i v lidské populaci. Další sekce byla věnována analýze potravin, která zdůraznila význam hmotnostní spektrometrie při kontrole kvality a bezpečnosti potravin. Účastníci se seznámili s aplikacemi hmotnostní spektrometrie při sledování kontaminantů v krmivech, analýze pivovarských a sladařských produktů či při detekci minerálních olejů (MOSH/MOAH) pomocí pokročilých GC×GC-MS metod. Poslední sekce představila praktické aplikace hmotnostní spektrometrie, od SFC-MS pro rostlinné extrakty přes HRMS v toxikologii a identifikaci molekul až po novou ionizační techniku LAESCIHRMS. <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/article/6095">Středeční program</a> se zaměřil na farmaceutickou analýzu, kde byly prezentovány postupy pro stanovení N-nitrosaminů v léčivech, analýzu proteinových bioléčiv a terapeutických oligonukleotidů. Tyto přednášky ukázaly, jak MS přispívá k zajištění bezpečnosti a účinnosti moderních léčiv. <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/article/6103">Čtvrteční blok </a>přinesl pohled na klinické aplikace hmotnostní spektrometrie. Diskutovaly se možnosti rutinní diagnostiky pomocí MS, analýza proteinů v klinických vzorcích a sledování PFAS v lidských matricích. Tyto aplikace potvrzují rostoucí význam MS v personalizované medicíně. Odpolední sekce čtvrtého dne byla věnována toxikologii a dalším aplikacím, včetně analýzy vlasů, kanabinoidů či vonných alergenů. Zajímavým tématem byla také analýza dechu pomocí MS, která se ukazuje jako perspektivní nástroj pro neinvazivní diagnostiku. <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/article/6116">Závěrečný den </a>patřil novým trendům v hmotnostní spektrometrii. Přednášky se zaměřily na inovace v metabolomice, lipidomice a proteomice, stejně jako na využití umělé inteligence při zpracování dat. Čtvrteční odpoledne patřilo mladým talentům – soutěžní sekce „Mládí vpřed“ opět ukázala, že budoucnost hmotnostní spektrometrie je v dobrých rukou. Šest inspirativních přednášek přineslo nové nápady i odvážné přístupy, přičemž nejvíce zaujala Martina Kadláčková se svou inovativní metodou FIA-MS/MS pro rychlou diagnostiku atypické myopatie u koní. První cenu získal Anatolii Spesyvyi za práci „Strategies for charged proteins desorption from lipid membrane in vacuo“, druhé místo patřilo Janě Knytlové s projektem zaměřeným na ambientní hmotnostní spektrometrii a třetí Jakubu Lemberkovi za studium fytohormonů napříč organelami. Obě soutěže podpořila společnost <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/companies/42">Pragolab</a>, která tak opět potvrdila svou roli klíčového partnera mladých vědců. Detailní abstrakta všech přednášek i posterů najdete na <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/paper/32033">tomto odkazu</a>.&nbsp;Účastníci letošní Školy měli možnost zúčastnit se kulturně-poznávacího odpoledne (Hornické muzeum Harrachov, exkurze do Poniklé – výroba perličkových ozdob, pěší túra po Krkonoších). V pondělní odpoledne odstartovala šifrovací hra, která prověřila logické myšlení i týmovou spolupráci. Šifru MS připravil Antonín Bednařík z Masarykovy Univerzity a výhercem se stal tým Fytohormoni z Olomouce. Také turnaj MS OPEN 2025 ve stolním tenise přinesl pořádnou dávku adrenalinu i zábavy. Do hry se zapojilo 32 hráčů, kteří hráli systémem play-off. Finále nabídlo strhující souboj, z něhož jako vítěz vyšel Michal Albrecht, zatímco Pavel Hladík obsadil druhé místo. Bronz si odnesla Ivana Lemak po dramatickém zápase s Jakubem Lemberkem. Večerní program byl pestrý a každý den nabídl jinou atmosféru. V neděli se účastníci bavili na společenském večeru firmy <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/companies/42">Pragolab</a>, pondělní večer patřil DJ Filipovi na akci pořádané firmou <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/companies/50">Waters</a>. Úterý přineslo živou hudbu s kapelou The Stream na večeru firmy <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/companies/37">Altium</a>, zatímco středa nabídla originální Silent Disco „Souboj 2 DJs“ pod záštitou <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://lcms.cz/companies/43">Shimadzu</a>. Obrovské uznání patří Mirce Bittové za precizní koordinaci a dalším členům organizačního výboru (Renému Lenobelovi, Aleši Pěnčíkovi, Věrce Doleželové a Jitce Kopkové). Velké díky míří také k týmům Laboratoře růstových regulátorů (jmenovitě Kateřina Cermanová, Pavel Hladík, Jakub Hrdlička, Ivo Chamrád, Michal Kaleta, Jakub Lemberk, Tereza Pavlíčková, Ivan Petřík, Radim Simerský a Natálie Zemánková) a Mass Spec.group (Radana Brumarová, Martina Horejšová, Martina Kadláčková, Richard Masař a Jakub Rozhon), jejichž nasazení bylo vidět na každém detailu, stejně jako Tomáši Vašinovi ze SSJMM a členům výboru Sekce hmotnostní spektrometrie. A nesmíme zapomenout na Milana Poskera a tým OREA Resortu Horal, kteří zajistili velmi pohostinnou atmosféru. Ohlédnutí za 26. Školou hmotnostní spektrometrie

V oblasti materiálového inženýrství a charakterizace látek představuje diferenciální skenovací kalorimetrie (DSC) jeden ze základních pilířů moderní analýzy. Její princip spočívá ve sledování rozdílu tepelného toku mezi vzorkem a referenčním materiálem při definovaném teplotním programu. Při zahřívání nebo ochlazování může docházet k endotermickým dějům (např. tání), kdy systém přijímá teplo, nebo k exotermickým dějům (např. krystalizace či chemické reakce), kdy se teplo uvolňuje. DSC tak umožňuje nejen detekci přechodů, ale i jejich kvantifikaci pomocí integračních metod, ze kterých lze určit entalpii přechodu. Zatímco FKM, NBR a EPDM vykazovaly jeden, NR/SBR vykazoval zřetelný dvojitý přechod. Tento dvojitý skok potvrdil přítomnost více polymerních fází; směs NR/SBR obsahuje dobře oddělené segmenty přírodního kaučuku a syntetického styren-butadienového kaučuku. FKM vykazoval nejvyšší teplotu skelného přechodu, což odpovídá jeho tuhému fluorovanému řetězci a omezené flexibilitě při nízkých teplotách. EPDM vykazoval výrazně nižší teplotu skelného přechodu, což naznačuje vyšší pohyblivost řetězců a vhodnost pro použití v chladnějších podmínkách. NBR vykazoval střední hodnotu teploty skelného přechodu, což bylo způsobeno obsahem polárních nitrilových skupin, které omezují pohyb jeho řetězců. NR/SBR vykazoval dva různé přechody, které potvrdily koexistenci dvou komponent.Z výsledků vyplynulo, že FKM je méně vhodný pro použití za nízkých teplot, zatímco EPDM vykazoval za nízkých teplot výbornou flexibilitu. NBR reprezentoval vyvážený kompromis, zatímco NR/SBR zdůrazňoval komplexní chování směsných systémů. Pochopení těchto principů umožnilo předvídat mechanické vlastnosti v prostředí nízkých teplot a napomohlo výběru správného materiálu.Toto je pouze jeden z mála příkladů, který podporuje význam DSC jako spolehlivého nástroje pro hodnocení elastomerů a jejich přizpůsobení konkrétním průmyslovým požadavkům. Propojením chování při skelném přechodu s reálnými mechanickými vlastnostmi poskytuje DSC pevný základ pro zlepšení volby materiálu, jeho životnosti a celkové spolehlivosti v náročných podmínkách.
